Asobu Indie Showcase 2021 set for September 1 – Gematsu

Asobu Indie Games Showcase

Asobu will host its second annual two-hour independent games showcase on September 1 at 21:00 JST, the company announced. You will be able to watch it on YouTube and Twitch.

The showcase will feature introductions to over 60 titles, focusing on upcoming or recently-available games from Japanese indie developers, as well as select overseas-developed games coming to Japan. It will also feature titles from Asobu sponsors such as PlayStation, [email protected], Kodansha, and Kowloon Nights.

“Getting the word out about your indie game is always a challenge, for all developers, anywhere and anytime,” said Asobu co-founder and community manager Anne Ferrero in a press release. “But especially for Japanese indies, who don’t have access to as many opportunities even in the best of times, and especially now with the ongoing pandemic, we hope the asobu showcase can help. Please check it out, share it with friends and help spread the word!”

Once the show goes live, a full list of the games featured in the video will be available at the Asobu website.
