Samurai Warriors series sales top eight million – Gematsu

Total sales for the Samurai Warriors series have surpassed eight million copies worldwide, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force announced.

The series began with the release of the original Samurai Warriors for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2004.

The latest entry in the series, Samurai Warriors 5, launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on June 24 in Japan, and for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch in the west and PC via Steam worldwide on July 27. A demo is also available.
